Nearly all of us have added the so-called "Ken Burns effect" to a photo in a video at some point. It's a nice effect, and it's usually better than a static photo that just sits there in the video.

Well if you have the time and interest, you can add a little more oomph to the effect by adding a 3D variation to it.

I wouldn't do this for every photo, but it could make sense in some cases, and it definitely creates additional visual interest when you use it.

In this video, I demonstrate how to create the effect in Apple's Motion 5, but you could easily translate it to After Effects if that's your tool of choice.

By the way, this was originally video #282 in the member's library. At this point there are nearly 300 videos like this in the member library. If you want to get access to them and you're not already a member, click here to learn about a membership.

Also, you can watch this video to see how to install the titles:

Even though Final Cut Pro X comes with several titles already, I think it's always good to have more choices. I made these titles for you.

I guess this is my way of saying "thank you" for being part of the Izzy Video audience.

I hope you find them useful. Enjoy!

I'm thrilled to announce that my new basic Motion course is now available.

If you want to get up and running with Motion, this is a great way to learn the basics.

Click here to learn more about the basic Motion course!

The course is over 3.5 hours long and contains 26 videos. As you go through the course, you'll complete three different projects from scratch.

And I designed the projects to cover the basics of Motion.

Anyway, I hope you love it.

Go take a look if you haven't already.
